Newport’s DS-4F High-Precision Adjuster is based on a novel principle that provides exceptional resolution with travel adequate for most uses.

High-resolution and value make this adjuster a suitable alternative for a differential micrometer in cases where the direct linear readout of a micrometer is not required.

The DS-4F Adjuster employs a unique cone and cam mechanism that provides a precision mechanical advantage effect to multiply the resolution of its high-precision fine-adjustment threads. This approach provides especially smooth motion with excellent resolution and repeatability.

In addition to short travel stages, this small precision adjuster is also compatible with Newport optical mounts like the ULTIMA^® Series.
